Sometimes
it can but the level of pain is very slight compared to the medical
hypodermic needle which has a larger gauge and cutting action opposed
to a fine solid shaft piercing of an acupuncture needle.
Are The Needles Sterile?
Yes and
all needles are single use and disposed of after use.
Where Do You Put The Needles?
All over
the body but each treatment is individually tailored to treat the presented
condition.
Do I Have To Be Referred By My Doctor?
No, but
it is good to let your doctor know that you are receiving treatment.
What Qualifications Do You Have?
Four
years full time study in a Bachelor of Advanced Health Science specialising
in Acupuncture and Naturopathy and Herbalism, extensive experience
in two Chinese hospitals.
Can It Cause Side Effects Or Nerve Damage?
A fully trained
Acupuncturist will be aware of the danger areas and will maintain professional
care at all times.
Some drowsiness
can be felt after a treatment, some slight bruising can occur from damage
to small blood micro vessels.
Nerves
are seldom damaged.
