You may wonder what you can expect from your first treatment. Just as our treatments are completely different for each person, so are the responses that people experience. Some people may actually feel worse the day after a treatment. This is not a bad thing, as the body has to play catch up and adjust to feeling normal again. Just as your body had to get used to being out of balance, it will need time to get used to feeling back in balance. This may give you the impression that your condition is getting worse when it is actually the body starting to repair itself. If you have had a condition for many years, the body has to start to repair and restructure itself for a healing process, which does take time.
The treatments work on many levels and emotional issues can surface during or even after treatment. Physical problems can be caused by repressed emotional issues. If emotions arise, this is a good thing as it is important to release any emotions that may have been stored up for long periods, causing your current problem. Some people may want to have a good old cry while others may just giggle in relief. Never be afraid to show any of these emotions, they are better out than in.
Our aim is for everyone to feel fantastic after a treatment, some may only feel this for a short period, and others don’t feel anything until some time after the treatment. In any case if you are concerned about anything please do not hesitate to ask first.

strong enough to excrete them can cause headaches.
Aches and Pains

Pain Free Laser Acupuncture
Low level light laser acupuncture is both pain free and effective in treatment. A laser light beam applied stimulates energy movement through the acupuncture point to mimic the effect of acupuncture needles, thus promoting the healing therapy. Laser Acupuncture is frequently used on children and sensitive patients to overcome needle pain and phobia.
Bowen Therapy
In Bowen Therapy the hands are used to manipulate the soft tissue at different acupuncture points. This manipulation is administered in a certain sequence, helping the body to relax and stimulate the nervous system for healing. Bowen Therapy is so soft and subtle it can be used on new born infants to adults.
Cupping Therapy
The therapy of Suction Cupping has been used in China for thousands of years. At first it was applied using cow horn apparatus, and to create a negative pressure inside the horn, fire was ignited to expel the air. Suction cups create a vacuum that draws out stagnation and thus allows free flow of Blood and Qi to the area applied.
Moxibustion
Is an ancient Chinese technique using the warmth from burning of the herb Mugwort over specific acupressure points, to warm and tonify thus increasing the blood flow to thereby stimulate healing.
